Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Food Preparer to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing bagels and ingredients in accordance with established recipes, safety standards, and dietary guidelines. Your enthusiasm for food service, combined with strong kitchen skills, will help ensure our residents or customers receive nutritious, delicious food in a timely manner. Responsibilities Assist in preparing food by following detailed recipes and menu plans, ensuring consistency and quality. Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and food processors. Handle food safely by adhering to proper food handling procedures and safety standards in production. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment through regular cleaning and sanitation practices. Support meal assembly and presentation to meet dietary requirements and aesthetic standards. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation activities and ensure timely service. Follow food safety management protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations. Qualifications Demonstrated ability in food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly within a commercial or institutional setting. Knowledge of menu planning, recipe adherence, and food industry best practices. Strong knife skills and slicing techniques essential for efficient food prep. Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and maintaining high standards of food safety. Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork with kitchen staff and other departments. Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining a fast-paced work environment. Pay:
