Historic Hudson Valley (HHV) is a Westchester-based cultural non-profit that welcomes visitors to four National Historic Landmarks and presents public tours, school programs, and seasonal festivals for audiences that include families seeking weekend leisure activities; K-12 teachers meeting curricular objectives and their students; and a diverse array of heritage tourists. HHV has a national reputation for groundbreaking on-site interpretation and award-winning digital content, particularly in the content areas of Northern slavery, regional women's history, and storytelling. Kitchen Support Staff Position Overview We are seeking a reliable and organized Kitchen Staff member to maintain our kitchen and food prep areas. This position is essential to our daily operations and team success. Key Responsibilities Working at an outdoor event. Wash, dry, and properly store all dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, counters, cutting boards, and appliances Wash floors Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen environment Organize and inventory supplies, ingredients, and pantry items Restock supplies as needed and alert management to low inventory Remove and manage trash and recycling Follow health and safety protocols and food handling guidelines Support kitchen team as needed with basic prep tasks Prepare simple dishes, such as charcuterie boards and dessert. Required Qualifications Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs Reliable and punctual Willingness to learn and follow instructions Preferred Qualifications Previous kitchen or food service experience Food handler certification or willingness to obtain Shift will include late night clean up and dish washing Pay Rate is $23/hr.
