Duties Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning fresh produce and other food items to ensure smooth kitchen operations Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers to meet quality standards Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen stations, including proper storage of ingredients and utensils Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure hygiene and prevent cross-contamination during meal prep Support catering and food service activities by assembling plates, packaging meals, and assisting with special event setups Handle food with care using proper knife skills and techniques to ensure safety and efficiency in meal preparation Contribute to menu planning discussions by providing input on ingredient availability and prep requirements Experience Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable Hands-on experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings demonstrates strong culinary skills Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards is essential for maintaining high hygiene levels Familiarity with kitchen equipment such as knives, mixers, ovens, and other culinary tools is preferred Experience in catering or serving environments adds value by showcasing versatility in food industry roles Basic understanding of menu planning and meal assembly helps streamline kitchen workflows Prior involvement in the food industry or restaurant experience provides a solid foundation for success in this role Join us as a Kitchen Prep and become an integral part of creating memorable dining experiences!
