This role is ideal for someone who values health, enjoys working with children, and loves creating meals from scratch. Key Responsibilities Plan and update monthly menus using healthy, organic, mostly vegetarian ingredients Prepare meals and snacks daily for up to 26 children and 12 staff members Ensure meals are served on time and in accordance with dietary guidelines Manage kitchen inventory and food orders Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment Coordinate with staff regarding children's allergies and dietary restrictions Potential to participate in gardening and outdoor food-growing activities Requirements Must be available Monday-Friday from 10 AM to 3 PM at minimum Must be reliable , professional , and able to pass a background check ServSafe certification required (or must be willing to obtain and maintain certification) Experience in kitchen or food prep environment (professional or personal) Ability to lift, carry, and move kitchen supplies(up to 50lbs) as needed, around facility and up/down stairs Ideal Candidate Will Have Experience cooking healthy meals for young children (infants to preschoolers) Familiarity with vegetarian and/or sugar-free cooking Enthusiasm for wellness, healthy living, and modeling those values Interest or experience in gardening, landscaping, or grounds maintenance (a plus) Patience, emotional maturity, and a positive attitude around children Ability to work independently and efficiently in a small team environment Benefits Paid time off Food provided Opportunity to work in a healthy, positive, and nature-connected setting Flexible opportunities for additional hours through gardening or grounds work Democratic workplace with Open Book Management Potential to buy-in and become a
