Full Job Description Job Overvie Position:
Cook We are looking for dependable, hardworking cooks to join our kitchen team at Old Bag of Nails. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced restaurant, takes pride in the food they prepare, and understands the importance of teamwork. Job Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to Old Bag of Nails recipes and standards. Work assigned stations including fry, grill, sauté, prep, and other areas as needed. Maintain quality, consistency, presentation, and proper portion sizes. Keep your station clean, stocked, organized, and ready for service. Follow all food safety, sanitation, temperature, and proper food-handling procedures. Complete opening, closing, prep, and cleaning responsibilities. Communicate with other cooks, managers, and FOH team members during service. Work with urgency during busy periods while maintaining food quality. Help other stations when needed — we work as one kitchen team. Properly rotate, label, date, and store food products. Minimize waste and notify management of product or equipment concerns. Maintain a clean kitchen throughout the entire shift, not just at closing. What We're Looking For Previous restaurant or high-volume cooking experience is preferred. Reliable and punctual. Able to work quickly and stay organized under pressure. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Able to stand for extended periods and safely lift restaurant supplies and products. Open availability is strongly preferred, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
