This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment, supporting food service operations in our new bakery. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to cleanliness, and a passion for hospitality and food service. Previous experience in kitchen environments or custodial maintenance is a plus; training will be provided. Duties Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down surfaces, and disposing of waste properly Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and readiness for use Support bussing duties by clearing tables and resetting dining areas during service hours Help with catering setup and breakdown for events or banquets as needed Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to uphold health standards Assist kitchen staff with miscellaneous tasks such as stocking ingredient bins, receiving product supplies, etc to ensure smooth operation during busy periods Experience Prior experience in food service, restaurant work, custodial maintenance, or hospitality environments is preferred Experience with food handling, cleaning, or kitchen operations such as cooking or serving is advantageous Candidates should demonstrate good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills are essential for success in this role A professional appearance and demeanor are important for this role as this is a "show kitchen" that will be open for customers to see.
