Job Overview Safe Haven is seeking a dependable Kitchen Operations Lead to prepare and serve dinner for approximately 25 men daily within our structured residential program. This position reports directly to the Program Manager and is responsible for meal preparation, food safety compliance, and maintaining kitchen organization. Food budgeting and purchasing are managed by leadership. Responsibilities Prepare and serve evening meal Maintain SERV Safe and sanitation compliance Ensure proper food storage and labeling Maintain organized kitchen systems Communicate inventory needs to leadership Perform other duties as assigned. Q ualifications SERV Safe Manager certification required (or obtained within 30 days) Experience cooking for groups Organized, dependable, and consistent with meal planning, preparation, implementation, storage, and cleanliness Comfortable working in a structured non-profit environment A commitment to serving individuals with compassion, respect and understanding Ability to lift items up to 25-50 lbs. on a regular basis Ability to stand for extended periods of time while in the kitchen or doing cleaning tasks Capability to perform tasks that may require bending, reaching, and walking throughout the facility Availability to work weekends and holidays, as scheduled, according to program needs. CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification Acceptable criminal background and child abuse history checks
