Starting at $22 per hour depending on experience Position Summary We are seeking a reliable and motivated Kitchen Staff member to join our brewery team and help execute our small taproom food program. This position is responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking and assembling menu items during service, washing dishes, maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen, and ensuring a safe, organized, and efficient work environment. Previous kitchen experience is preferred.

$20-$23/hour depending on experience Position Summary We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and experienced Kitchen Lead to help oversee our small taproom food program at Two Blokes Brewing Company. The Kitchen Lead will work hands-on in the kitchen while taking additional responsibility for day-to-day kitchen operations, including food preparation, service, inventory, ordering, organization, food quality, and cleanliness. This person will help ensure that the kitchen runs efficiently and consistently while providing guidance and support to other kitchen staff. This is a hands-on position, and the Kitchen Lead will regularly work scheduled kitchen shifts alongside the rest of the team. Summary of Tasks Kitchen Leadership & Operations Help oversee day-to-day kitchen operations and ensure smooth, efficient service. Provide direction and support to kitchen staff during shifts. Help train new kitchen employees on recipes, procedures, equipment, food safety, and opening/closing expectations. Ensure recipes, portions, presentation, and preparation standards are followed consistently. Communicate kitchen needs, staffing concerns, maintenance issues, and operational challenges to management. Help maintain kitchen checklists, prep lists, pars, and other operational procedures. Assist management with food and equipment ordering Food Preparation & Service Prepare ingredients and food items according to recipes and portion standards. Cook and assemble menu items during service. Ensure food quality, presentation, portioning, and consistency. Coordinate prep to ensure the kitchen is properly stocked and ready for service. Monitor ticket times and help maintain an efficient flow during busy service periods. Assist with menu preparation and execution for special events and brewery functions. Inventory & Ordering Monitor food and kitchen inventory and maintain appropriate par levels. Assist with or oversee weekly food ordering from kitchen vendors. Receive deliveries and verify products and quantities when necessary. Properly store, label, date, and rotate food products. Monitor product quality and communicate shortages or vendor issues to management. Help minimize food waste through proper preparation, portioning, storage, and inventory management. Assist with regular kitchen inventory counts and food-cost tracking. Cleaning, Organization & Food Safety Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment. Ensure kitchen staff are completing required opening, closing, and cleaning duties. Wash dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed throughout shifts. Ensure proper food storage, labeling, temperature control, and sanitation procedures are followed. Follow and help enforce all health department regulations and food safety standards. Maintain kitchen equipment and communicate repair or maintenance needs to management. Team & Guest Support Work collaboratively with taproom staff to provide a positive guest experience. Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff regarding ticket times, menu availability, sold-out items, and special requests. Help create a positive, respectful, and productive kitchen environment. Maintain a professional and positive attitude during service. Lead by example with punctuality, cleanliness, organization, and teamwork. Qualifications 2+ years of restaurant, kitchen, food service, or line cook experience preferred. Previous kitchen leadership, shift lead, or supervisory experience preferred. Food Handler or ServSafe certification, or ability to obtain. Strong understanding of food safety, kitchen sanitation, and proper food handling. Ability to work efficiently and remain organized in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and cleanliness. Dependable, punctual, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently. Ability to communicate clearly and provide direction to other kitchen staff. Ability to follow and maintain recipes, portion standards, and kitchen procedures. Basic understanding of food inventory, ordering, and waste management preferred. Must be at least 18 years old. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and work in a warm kitchen environment. Ability to safely operate standard kitchen equipment. Schedule Availability to work evenings, weekends, and special events as needed. Regular kitchen shifts will be part of this position.
