Full Job Description Description:
Southern Foodservice Management, a national contract food service company, is looking to hire a Deli/Prep Worker for our BCBS location in Columbia, SC. The pay rate is $16.00 per hour. The schedule is Monday
•Friday. The shift hours are 6:00am
•2:00pm.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare and assemble deli items, including sandwiches, wraps, and salads according to company recipes and customer preferences. Operate deli equipment such as slicers, grills, and ovens safely and efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized deli station, following all sanitation and food safety guidelines. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests and fulfilling their orders accurately. Follow company policies and procedures to ensure consistency in service and food quality. Replenishing food items as required during service, breakdown service areas after the meal period and assisting with general kitchen duties as needed, including cleaning and dishwashing.
Qualifications & Skills:
Previous experience in a deli, cafeteria, or food service setting preferred. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once. Strong communication and customer service skills. Flexibility to work assigned shifts, including occasional early mornings or late afternoons. Other Duties and Tasks All staff members are also responsible for other duties or tasks that are assigned by the Assistant Managers or Supervisors, as a part of any "Job" or "Position" assigned during a normal work schedule. Team members may be assigned to support the meal production, service and cleaning after the meal or the dining facility.
