Job Description
Bistro Prep Cook prepares ingredients and supports kitchen operations to ensure timely and efficient food production. Performs basic food preparation tasks, maintains cleanliness, and follows all food safety and sanitation standards. Bistro Prep Cook Duties Washes, cuts, measures, and portions ingredients according to recipes and production needs Prepares basic components such as sauces, dressings, and garnishes Labels, dates, and properly stores prepared ingredients Stocks and organizes prep stations and kitchen supplies for service Assists cooks with basic recipe preparation and food assembly Ensures ingredients are readily available to support efficient workflow Follows all food handling, sanitation, and hygiene standards Maintains proper food storage and temperature controls Comply with company policies and local health regulations Cleans and sanitizes work areas, utensils, and equipment Maintains an organized and hazard-free kitchen environment Assists with dishwashing and waste disposal as needed confirms work is accurate and in compliance with instructions and established procedures. The team member is directed in most aspects of the work, but gains exposure to some mildly complex tasks within the job function. Bistro Prep Cook Requirements Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and safe food handling practices Ability to follow instructions, recipes, and standardized procedures Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Basic understanding of kitchen equipment and tools Team-oriented with effective communication skills
