Job Description

Job Summary We are currently accepting applications for a morning Pastry Assistant. This position requires a great attitude and being super friendly to our customers and staff. We are a small family business which requires being responsible and dependable. Applicant must be self motivated and very task oriented. Must be able to arrive at work by 5:00 a.m. and work until 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. The position includes, but not limited to, preparing ingredients from scratch, helping other staff members perform their duties, performing opening and closing duties, preparing food, and cleaning/organizing. Must be able to lift and carry a 50# bag of flour. Must be able to work four days a week. Sundays and Mondays off!! Please message us on how to apply Responsibilities Assist in preparing a variety of baked goods, including cookie doughs, scones, quiche, and pastries, following established recipes and standards. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, such as mixers, ovens, and pastry tools. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations. Help with food handling tasks like measuring ingredients accurately using basic math skills. Contribute to high-volume food production during busy periods while maintaining consistency and quality. Experience Previous experience in food production, baking, or pastry preparation is highly desirable. Hands-on experience operating kitchen equipment safely in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of food safety management practices and proper food handling procedures. Experience working in the food industry or catering environments is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining attention to detail.
Pay:
$14.00 - $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 25.0 per week
