Kitchen Backup Job Summary Barrio Burrito is looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Backup team member to support daily kitchen operations, food preparation, cleanliness, and dishwashing. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment and able to step in wherever kitchen support is needed. Responsibilities Prepare food and ingredients according to restaurant standards. Keep the kitchen, food preparation areas, and equipment clean and organized. Set up and maintain the food line during service. Assist with stocking ingredients and kitchen supplies. Perform manual hand dishwashing and maintain clean dishes and utensils. Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures. Monitor food quality, freshness, and proper storage. Assist cooks and other team members during busy periods. Minimize food waste and maintain an organized kitchen. Follow proper opening, closing, and cleaning procedures. Required Skills Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred. Basic food preparation and kitchen skills. Ability to work quickly and efficiently during busy periods. Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety. Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and portion standards. Reliable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen duties. Good communication and a positive attitude. Ability to multitask and support different kitchen stations as needed.

Pay:

$12.00 - $15.00 per hour
