Must have ability to understand and apply written and verbal instruction. We have a thorough training program to prepare you. Physical Must be able to work all areas of the restaurant and operate kitchen equipment. Position requires standing, bending, lifting, kneeling, and walking the entire workday. Must have ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally. Job Description A sushi chef prepares food according to instruction and ensures delivery of superior, consistent product. Sushi chefs are always expected to maintain food safety and sanitation standards. Tasks and Responsibilities- Prepare food neatly and timely according to recipe and presentation instructions
- Occasionally interact with guests in a one-on-one scenario.
- Restock prepped food items to ensure a sufficient supply throughout the shift
- Willingness to cross-train and assist in related positions
- Understands and adheres to all quality standards and procedures as outlined in the operations manual
- Understands and adheres to proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards during food prep, service, and clean-up
- Maintains a professional appearance and grooming standards as outlined in the employee manual
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Abides by all brand standards and company policies and procedures
