Summary:

Kitchen Staff at Piedras Negras Tortilleria are responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking, and packaging of traditional Mexican food products, including tortillas and related items. This role ensures food is prepared safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare ingredients for daily food production (e.g., masa, fillings, sauces) Operate kitchen equipment such as tortilla machines, grills, and mixers Cook and package tortillas and other food items Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and work areas Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines Assist with inventory, stocking, and restocking supplies Work as part of a team to meet daily production goals Provide support with customer orders when needed

Requirements:

Previous kitchen or food service experience preferred but not required Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25-50 lbs Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Willingness to learn traditional preparation methods
