Job Description

About the Position Port of Subs is opening a new location in Forney, Texas, and we are looking for friendly, dependable, and hardworking Team Members to join our opening team. As a Team Member, you will prepare fresh sandwiches and other menu items, provide excellent customer service, maintain a clean and organized restaurant, and help create a welcoming experience for every guest. We are proud to be a neighborhood sandwich shop and are excited to build a strong team that will serve the Forney community. Key Responsibilities Greet customers and provide friendly, attentive service Take customer orders accurately in person, by phone, and through online ordering systems Prepare sandwiches, salads, wraps, and other menu items according to Port of Subs standards Slice meats, cheeses, vegetables, and other ingredients safely and accurately Operate the point-of-sale system Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately Prepare and organize online, pickup, delivery, and catering orders Restock food, beverages, packaging, and restaurant supplies Maintain clean food preparation, service, dining, storage, and restroom areas Follow food safety, sanitation, handwashing, and temperature-control procedures Complete assigned opening, closing, food-preparation, and cleaning duties Work cooperatively with managers and fellow Team Members Follow restaurant policies, procedures, recipes, and brand standards Assist with other restaurant duties as assigned Qualifications Friendly, positive, and customer-focused attitude Dependable and able to arrive on time for scheduled shifts Able to work effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment Strong communication and teamwork skills Willingness to learn food preparation, customer service, and restaurant procedures Able to follow instructions and pay attention to detail Previous restaurant, retail, food service, or customer service experience is helpful but not required Must meet all applicable age, food-handler, and employment requirements Schedule and Availability The restaurant will be open seven days a week. Team Members may be scheduled for morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts. Flexible availability is preferred, especially during lunch, dinner, and weekend hours. Full-time and part-time schedules are available based on employee availability and business needs. Applicants should include their general availability when applying. Physical Requirements Team Members must be able to: Stand and walk for extended periods Bend, reach, twist, and perform repetitive tasks Safely use restaurant and food-preparation equipment after receiving training Lift and carry restaurant products and supplies weighing up to approximately 40 pounds Work around refrigerated, heated, wet, and food-preparation areas Reasonable accommodations may be provided to qualified individuals with disabilities in accordance with applicable law.
