In this role, you'll prepare food in our dedicated production kitchen — separate from our café locations — that gets distributed daily to 9 coffee shop locations. This is a great fit for someone who loves food prep, thrives in a fast-paced batch-cooking environment, and takes pride in consistency and food safety across multiple sites. Responsibilities Prepare and batch food items — slicing, chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients — according to standardized recipes to ensure consistency across all 9 locations Follow strict food safety and sanitation protocols for handling, storing, labeling, and transporting food safely between the commissary and café locations Prepare ingredients and finished items according to production schedules, ensuring each location receives the correct quantities on time Package, label, and organize prepped items for delivery, ensuring accuracy for each location's orders Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen, including workstations, equipment, and storage areas, in line with health code standards Coordinate with kitchen team members and supervisors to meet daily production timelines and delivery schedules Monitor inventory and ingredient supplies, flagging shortages or reorder needs to supervisors to keep production running smoothly Skills Experience in food prep, commissary kitchens, catering, or dietary departments is highly desirable Strong knowledge of food safety and handling standards, especially relating to batch prep and multi-site distribution Proven knife skills, including slicing, dicing, and portioning efficiently and safely Comfortable operating commercial kitchen equipment Ability to follow standardized recipes and maintain consistency at scale Strong communication skills to coordinate production schedules with the team and supervisors Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented, especially when preparing orders for multiple locations Restaurant, catering, or food industry experience reflecting professionalism and dependability Requirements Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Basic understanding of food preparation and safe food handling Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds Comfortable working in a production-focused kitchen environment (not a customer-facing café setting)
