In this role, you will lead by example—stepping in to work the line during peak hours, supporting prep work, and ensuring seamless team collaboration between line and prep cooks.
Key Responsibilities Kitchen Operations & Cooking:
Lead the line during service to prepare high-quality orders efficiently, ensuring food safety and quality standards are met.
Prep Management:
Oversee and assist with food preparation (chopping, prepping chicken, burgers, house-made sauces, etc.) to keep the kitchen fully stocked and ready for service.
Team Collaboration & Support:
Direct workflow between line and prep roles, stepping in to support line cooks during busy rushes or prep cooks during downtime.
Cleanliness & Maintenance:
Ensure the kitchen is thoroughly cleaned, organized, and properly maintained during and at the end of every shift.
Inventory & Stocking:
Monitor kitchen supplies and prep levels to minimize waste and ensure ingredients are ready for peak volume. Qualifications Previous experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or Kitchen Shift Leader in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Strong knowledge of food safety, prep techniques, and kitchen hygiene standards. Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and maintain calm under pressure. Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset.
