In this role, you will support the kitchen staff by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring all safety standards are met. Your energy and attention to detail will help deliver quality meals and a positive dining experience for our guests. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop foundational culinary skills while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Duties Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients following established recipes and safety guidelines Operate basic kitchen equipment including mixers, ovens, and food processors safely and efficiently Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen appliances in compliance with food safety standards Support meal assembly and presentation to ensure timely service during busy periods Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure food safety management practices are upheld Help with dishwashing, waste disposal, and general cleaning duties to maintain a hygienic environment Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth workflow during meal service Requirements Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential Experience in food service or restaurant environments demonstrating familiarity with food industry standards Knowledge of safety standards in production environments including proper use of kitchen equipment and knife skills such as slicing techniques Ability to follow recipes accurately and adhere to meal preparation guidelines Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen staff and team members Basic understanding of food handling, food safety practices, and catering experience is advantageous Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive tasks efficiently Embark on a rewarding journey where your contributions directly impact the quality of meals served daily.
