FOOD SERVICE & KITCHEN TEAM MEMBER
The Kids Party Ranch - Robstown, TX Part-Time | Friday-Sunday $12-$14/hour depending on experience and certifications The Kids Party Ranch is looking for an experienced and dependable Food Service & Kitchen Team Member to join our weekend team. This is not a traditional scratch-cooking position. Most menu items are precooked or parbaked and are finished to order using our oven, fryer or steamer. We are looking for someone with previous restaurant or food-service experience who is comfortable working both the food-service counter and in the kitchen areas. Duties Prepare and assemble menu items according to established procedures and portions Operate the POS/register and process customer orders accurately Handle cash and card transactions Provide friendly customer service and suggest add-ons when appropriate Prepare and serve counter items such as nachos and hot dogs Assemble pizzas and finish menu items using the oven, fryer and steamer Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and food-service workspace Follow food-safety, labeling, dating and storage procedures Follow FIFO food rotation Keep refrigerated and frozen food properly sealed and stored Restock ingredients, supply and service areas Assist with opening and closing duties Assist with inventory and receiving deliveries when assigned Work independently in the kitchen after training when needed Requirements Previous restaurant or food-service experience required Current Food Handler Certificate required POS/register experience strongly preferred Food Manager certification is a plus Experience in pizza shops, sandwich shops, quick-service restaurants, cafeterias or similar food-service operations is acceptable Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory counting Ability to safely operate commercial kitchen equipment Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong customer service and communication skills Dependable attendance and weekend availability Ability to follow written procedures, portions and preparation times Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

10:00 AM-8:00
PM Saturday:
10:00 AM-8:00
PM Sunday:
10:00 AM-8:00 PM Opening employees may be scheduled approximately 15 minutes before opening , and closing employees may remain approximately 30 minutes after closing . Shifts may be staggered or shortened depending on parties, business volume and staffing needs. About the Position This is a good fit for someone who already knows their way around a food-service environment and is comfortable moving between the register, counter-service area and kitchen. During higher-volume periods, especially busy Saturdays, this position may work alongside another kitchen employee. When needed, this employee may also provide primary kitchen coverage after training. Food-service experience and a current Food Handler Certificate are required.

$12.00 - $14.00 per hour Expected hours: 30-35 per week
