Qualifications Food Handler Certification Full Job Description Introduction:
We are seeking a dependable and energetic Kitchen Staff to join our team. The Kitchen Staff is responsible for preparing ingredients and menu items, following recipes and portion standards, maintaining food quality and presentation, stocking workstations, and keeping kitchen and food-preparation areas clean and sanitary. This position follows all food safety, sanitation, and company procedures and assists with opening, closing, cleaning, inventory, and other daily operational duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and assemble menu items according to approved recipes and portion standards. Follow proper food handling, sanitation, temperature-control, and food safety procedures. Maintain consistent food quality, freshness, appearance, and presentation. Keep kitchen equipment, counters, utensils, floors, and preparation areas clean and organized. Stock and replenish ingredients, packaging, and kitchen supplies as needed. Properly label, date, rotate, and store food products. Assist with receiving and organizing food and supply deliveries. Monitor product levels and notify management when supplies are running low. Complete opening, closing, and assigned cleaning duties. Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining accuracy and quality. Communicate and work cooperatively with managers, shift leads, cashiers, and other team members. Follow company policies, workplace safety requirements, and manager instructions. Assist in other areas of the restaurant when needed.
Qualifications:
Previous restaurant, food service, or kitchen experience preferred but not required. Ability to learn and follow recipes, preparation procedures, and food safety standards. Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and organizational skills. Ability to maintain a clean and professional work environment. Must meet applicable food-handler certification requirements. Must be able to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
