• Tilman's is a wine and cheese bar and café on the downtown mall in Charlottesville, VA. We are a small locally-owned business with a passion for good cheese, great wine, and the community.
• We focus on sandwiches, salads, and small plates inspired by European café culture.

Our kitchen is a great job for people interested in a low key, low stress kitchen. We concentrate on European meats, cheeses, and quality ingredients that are easily assembled into our signature sandwiches and salads. It's a good kitchen for beginners, and people with experience that want to get out of toxic kitchen environments. Our kitchen can be fast-paced, especially during the day. We are looking for someone who can make sandwiches, salads, and small plates quickly, and consistently, with an eye for presentation. Everyone in our kitchen preps food, helps with deliveries, and does dishes. If you are interested in learning more about cooking and prep, this may be the right fit for you. • Candidates MUST be able to work nights and weekends.
• Team Member Job Duties include: Making and serving sandwiches, salads, small plates and cheese boards. Ensuring proper execution of all menu items Working with a panini press, convection oven, and meat slicer.
• Must be 18 to operate a meat slicer Prepare and artfully arrange catering trays Running prepared foods to our pick-up counter, and to the outdoor patio area Prepping food for sandwiches, salads, and small plates Keeping kitchen clean & sanitized, including washing dishes and glasses General cleaning, food sanitation, and upkeep duties

Compensation:

Competitive hourly wage, plus tips. We average $18-$19 per hour, & $22-$24 for busy days

Pay:

Up to $22.00 per hour
