Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Sushi Prep to join our vibrant culinary team! In this role, you will be responsible for preparing fresh, high-quality sushi ingredients and assisting in the assembly of sushi dishes that delight our guests. Your enthusiasm for food presentation, safety, and authentic Japanese cuisine will contribute to creating an exceptional dining experience. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills in a fast-paced, energetic environment dedicated to excellence. Responsibilities Prepare sushi ingredients including fish, rice, vegetables, and garnishes with precision and care Follow established recipes and menu specifications to ensure consistency and quality Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards throughout all food handling processes Assist in assembling sushi plates and platters for dine-in, takeout, or catering orders Support kitchen operations by organizing ingredients, cleaning workstations, and managing supplies efficiently Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours Adhere to all health regulations and safety protocols to promote a safe working environment Experience Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is advantageous but not required Experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings is highly valued Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards is essential Background in culinary arts or kitchen experience within the food industry is preferred Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and catering services enhances your suitability for this role Strong knife skills and proficiency in food presentation are desirable qualities Previous roles involving serving or food service contribute positively to your application
Pay:
$760.00 - $1,000.00 per week
