As a Cafe Team Member, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming environment for our guests while supporting daily café operations through food preparation, cashier responsibilities, and excellent customer service. We are preparing to open our doors in early June and are seeking team members who are excited to help launch a new community-focused café experience. This is a great opportunity to be part of a team helping shape the culture, service, and daily operations of a brand-new café from the very beginning. Position Responsibilities Prepare light food items and assist with basic kitchen prep Assemble sandwiches, wraps, salads, and café menu items according to standards Operate the cash register and accurately process customer transactions Greet guests and provide friendly, attentive customer service Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining, prep, and service areas Restock ingredients, packaging, and café supplies as needed Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations Assist with opening and closing duties Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations Qualifications Positive attitude and strong work ethic Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Reliable transportation and punctual attendance Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds Basic math and cash handling skills Ability to follow recipes, procedures, and food safety standards Previous café, restaurant, or customer service experience preferred, but not required Willingness to learn and be cross-trained in multiple café positions What We Offer Supportive and team-oriented work environment Flexible scheduling Hands-on training across multiple café functions Opportunity to be part of an opening team launching a new local café concept A chance to help create a welcoming space centered around great food, coffee, and community We're looking for team members who are ready to bring energy, reliability, and hospitality to the launch of Sarah & Co Cafe.
