Responsibilities Assist in food preparation activities, including chopping, mixing, and assembling ingredients for various dishes. Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, poaching stations, braising pans, and food production machinery safely and efficiently. Follow recipes meticulously to ensure consistency and adherence to quality standards across all menu items. Maintain strict food safety and sanitizing procedures to uphold health regulations and ensure a clean working environment. Support menu planning efforts by preparing ingredients for upcoming dishes and assisting with special catering events. Handle food with care, practicing proper food handling techniques to prevent contamination and ensure freshness. Contribute to high-volume production needs by working efficiently during busy service times while maintaining attention to detail. Experience Previous experience in dietary aide roles or dietary department settings is highly desirable. Proven background in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on fine dining or high-volume kitchens. Skilled in various cooking techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and meal preparation. Strong knife skills and familiarity with operating diverse kitchen equipment are essential. Knowledge of food safety management practices, including sanitizing procedures and recipe adherence. Experience with catering or large-scale food production is a plus. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team in fast-paced settings while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
