Job Description
Cocinero Preparador / Preparador de Cocina Mondello Italian Restaurant We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Cucina Preparatore / Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate is organized, clean, fast-paced, and able to follow directions in a busy restaurant environment. Responsibilities Prepare bread, vegetables, sauces, meats, seafood, and ingredients for daily service Assist chefs with pasta, salads, appetizers, and dessert preparation Follow instructions from chefs and management Clean and maintain kitchen stations during and after service Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment One hour before opening, sweep and mop the serving and dining room floors Clean bathrooms daily, and common areas when needed Help open and close the kitchen properly Maintain food safety and sanitation standards Assist with deliveries and organization of storage areas Requirements Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team Strong work ethic and attention to cleanliness Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Reliable and punctual Kitchen or restaurant experience Solid knife skills and sound knowledge of basic cooking techniques Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Valid WA food handler certification (ServSafe or equivalent) Schedule Full-time or part-time available Morning (starting at 11:00), afternoon, and evening shifts available What We Offer Friendly family-style work environment Opportunity to learn authentic Italian cooking techniques A kitchen that cooks everything from scratch using authentic Sicilian ingredients Staff meals Growth opportunities within the restaurant Mondello Trattoria is open 7 days a week.
Our Hours are:
Sunday- Monday 4:00 pm to 8:30 pm Tuesday
- Thursday 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm Friday
- Saturday 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm Spanish and English languages preferred.
