This is more than a prep cook position. We are looking for someone who enjoys cooking healthy food, works efficiently, can lead a small team, and takes pride in making sure a job is completed correctly from start to finish. The Farmacy is a 100% gluten-free restaurant focused on real, high-quality ingredients and making healthy eating easier for our customers and their families. What You'll Do As our Meal Prep Lead, you will be responsible for helping run meal prep production each week, including: Lead and organize weekly meal prep production Review orders and determine production quantities Create an efficient production plan for the team Delegate tasks and keep the meal prep team moving Prepare proteins, vegetables, sauces, sides, family meals, and other menu items Portion meals accurately and consistently Package, label, and organize finished meals Follow recipes and portion standards exactly Monitor ingredient inventory and communicate what needs to be ordered Minimize food waste and overproduction Maintain proper food safety, sanitation, cooling, storage, and labeling procedures Keep the meal prep area clean and organized throughout production Train employees on recipes, portioning, packaging, and meal prep procedures Identify inefficient processes and help us improve them Make sure production is completed on time and ready for customer pickup Communicate problems, shortages, mistakes, or opportunities for improvement with management What We're Looking For We want someone who is: Extremely organized Fast and efficient in a kitchen Comfortable leading and delegating Reliable and punctual Detail-oriented Able to follow recipes accurately Comfortable working independently without constant direction Able to manage several recipes and production tasks at once Willing to jump in wherever needed Interested in healthy food and high-quality ingredients Comfortable giving and receiving feedback Someone who sees a problem and works toward a solution Previous restaurant, meal prep, catering, or high-volume food production experience is strongly preferred. Leadership experience is a plus. Physical Requirements This is an active kitchen position. Applicants must be able to stand for extended periods, work quickly in a restaurant kitchen, lift and move ingredients and equipment, and safely perform repetitive food-prep tasks. The Right Person for This Role You don't need to know everything on day one—we can teach our recipes and systems. What we can't teach as easily is ownership. We're looking for someone who notices when something needs to be done, keeps themselves and others on task, communicates clearly, and cares about producing food they're proud to send home with our customers.
