Responsibilities Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning items under supervision Maintain cleanliness by regularly sanitizing work surfaces, utensils, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures Support bussing duties by clearing dirty dish bins, removing pots and pans, and ensuring kitchen areas are tidy and safe. Operate basic kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including dishwashers, ovens, and food prep tools Handle food safely by following proper food handling protocols and sanitation standards to prevent contamination Assist with heavy lifting of supplies and ingredients to ensure smooth kitchen operations Follow all kitchen health and safety standards diligently to maintain a safe working environment for all staff Requirements Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; a strong willingness to learn is essential Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation procedures is highly desirable Ability to perform manual handling tasks including lifting heavy items over 40 pounds safely Basic knife skills and familiarity with operating kitchen equipment are advantageous Excellent attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and adhering to health standards Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting culinary staff and guests Previous banquet or catering experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Billigual applicants welcome!
