Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Kitchen Assistant and be a vital part of creating delicious, high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment! As a Kitchen Assistant, you'll support chefs and kitchen staff by preparing ingredients, assisting with meal assembly, and ensuring food safety standards are met. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help deliver exceptional dining experiences for our guests every day! Duties Assist with food preparation by chopping, peeling, measuring, and organizing ingredients efficiently. Support cooking processes by following recipes and instructions from chefs or kitchen supervisors. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment to uphold food safety standards. Handle food safely by practicing proper food handling techniques and adhering to hygiene protocols. Help with meal assembly and plating to ensure timely service during busy periods. Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food and ensuring smooth operation. Manage inventory by receiving deliveries, storing ingredients properly, and notifying staff of low stock levels. Experience Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is most important! Basic cooking skills including knife handling, food preparation, and understanding of kitchen safety procedures. Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling techniques. Experience in the food industry or culinary settings will be advantageous but is not mandatory for entry-level applicants. Knowledge of meal preparation, serving practices, and catering operations is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
