Responsibilities Assist with food preparation tasks including chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients to support meal assembly Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing work surfaces, and organizing utensils and ingredients Support cooking activities by preparing basic ingredients under supervision and following established recipes and procedures Handle food safely by adhering to proper food handling and storage guidelines to prevent contamination Help with meal plating and presentation to ensure dishes meet quality standards before serving Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to keep the kitchen well-equipped for busy service periods Support catering events or large orders by preparing bulk ingredients and assisting with setup Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant, catering, or food industry setting is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key Basic knife skills and familiarity with cooking techniques are advantageous Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude and willingness to support kitchen staff Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items, and perform repetitive tasks Culinary experience or training is a plus but not mandatory; eagerness to develop culinary skills is valued Embark on a rewarding journey in the culinary world!
