Job Description
Job Summary Join our vibrant aquatic team as a Lifeguard and become a vital protector of guest safety at our state-of-the-art swimming facility. In this energetic role, you will monitor pool activities, enforce safety rules, and respond swiftly to emergencies to ensure a secure and enjoyable environment for all visitors. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in water rescue, first aid, and public safety procedures while making a meaningful difference in our community. Duties Vigilantly monitor pool areas, ensuring all guests adhere to safety rules and regulations. Respond promptly and effectively to water emergencies, including water rescues and medical incidents. Perform routine pool maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters, skimming debris, and checking chemical levels to maintain optimal water quality. Provide exceptional guest services by assisting visitors with pool rules, directions, and general inquiries. Enforce public safety procedures during peak hours and special events to prevent accidents and ensure a secure environment. Maintain accurate incident reports, shift logs, and safety records in compliance with facility protocols. Requirements Proven lifeguard experience with current certifications in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, and basic first aid protocols. Strong swimming skills with the ability to perform water rescues efficiently under pressure. Knowledge of water safety instruction and public safety procedures specific to aquatic facilities. Experience working with children and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with pool maintenance tasks such as chemical testing and filtration system checks. Must be alert, proactive, and able to respond calmly during emergency situations involving medical emergencies or cardiac arrest responses.
