Job Description
Sonoma Splash is a community pool located at Sonoma Valley High School. We are in need of capable, friendly, and reliable people to work as Lifeguards. Our facility features a 16 lane competitive pool, a 90 degree warm pool and is open year-round. Programs vary from lap swim to recreation swim as well as swim lessons, swim teams, water polo and water aerobics. Shifts are available weekdays between 5:30am to 8:30pm and weekends from 7:30am to 6:30pm. Weekday availability is strongly preferred. Shifts are between 2 and 8 hours, most are typically 4-6 hours in length. Applicants must be 15 years of age or older to apply. Under general supervision, performs lifeguard duties, enforces all rules and regulations pertaining to the safety and well-being of visitors and patrons. Perform other tasks as required, which includes basic cleaning of the facilities and rotations into the Front Desk to check-in all patrons. Lifeguards must have a current certification for Lifeguarding & CPR/AED/First Aid from the American Red Cross . Need a certification? We offer lifeguard training courses here at Sonoma Splash! ORG DUTIES :
Active scanning and patron surveillance, practice preventive Lifeguarding. Enforce all rules and regulations. Recognize and respond professionally to emergencies, provide care, including activating the EAP. Perform assigned duties connected with the care and maintenance of the facility so that it's kept clean and presentable. Engage and interact tactfully and courteously with the public. Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing. The ability to speak English clearly. Fluency in Spanish is welcome. Attend and participate in required staff training and in-service drills. Perform other related duties to check-in patrons on the Front Desk rotations, answer phones, open and close the office.Job Type:
