Pool Lifeguard The Boca Raton - 3.5 Boca Raton, FL Job Details Part-time $19.50 - $20.00 an hour 3 hours ago Qualifications Cardiac arrest emergency response Patient resuscitation CPR Certification Lifeguard Training Outdoor work experience BLS Certification High school diploma or GED Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) guidance Lifeguard Certification Full Job Description Summary The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a lifeguard in a beach or pool operation. This individual must be able to achieve or currently hold a CPR certification. This role requires a strong degree of physical activity in an outdoor setting. Candidates must be self-motivated and have the ability to maintain focus and composure under pressure. Essential Functions Job duties include, although are not limited to: Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency. Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services. Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer service. Performs various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility. Prepares and maintains appropriate activity reports. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Supervise the use of other equipment when allocated to that duty (such as water slides). Internal Relationships Reports to Youth and Family Program Manager External Relationships Has regular contact with members and guests Qualifications Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Skill in the application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques. Knowledge of CPR and emergency medical procedures. Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions. Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures. Education/Experience Requirements High school diploma required Six months experience required CPR Certified, First Aide Certified, Lifeguard Certified Physical Requirements Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
