Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old. Be in good physical condition. All lifeguard applicants must successfully complete our Ellis and Associates Lifeguard Training Program. First Aid and CPR training are provided during the lifeguard training class. Must pass a prerequisite swim test that includes the following: Swim 200 yards continuously using an approach stroke (breaststroke or front crawl) Retrieve a 5lb brick from the deepest part of the pool (6 feet) Tread water without the use of their hands for 2 minutes In your role, you will: Provide swimmer protection of aquatic areas, dispatch attractions, enforce rules, administer first aid and CPR, and provide exceptional guest service. Perform responsibilities in line with Ellis & Associates Certified Aquatic Risk Management Program Respond to any situations that compromise the safety of the guests in their respective area. Ensure there is an environment that keeps safety the number one concern for all guests and team members. Contribute to park clean-up and resetting guest areas for the following operational day. Must be able to work varied shifts, including evenings, holidays, and weekends. Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.

(Operation Hours) Requires occasional reaching above shoulder, pushing and pulling. In the performance of job duties, the employee is routinely required to utilize manual dexterity, reach hands and arms, and possess the ability to read, communicate verbally, and hear. The team member is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, push, pull, crouch, or crawl. The team member is occasionally required to climb and work at heights above 100 feet. The team member is occasionally required to sit or balance. The team members must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance . Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Requires manual and bi-manual dexterity, fine and gross motor skills, eye/hand coordination, near vision, hearing, and speech. Maintain the ability to work in all weather conditions including but not limited to heat, cold, rain, and direct sunlight. The noise level is generally moderate to high.
