  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED (minimum requirement).
  • 1 Reference Letter (this does not apply to current CCPS staff).
  • Current Florida Educator Certification or Athletic Coaching Certification is required.
NOTE:
Coaches who hold current teaching certification do not need to obtain athletic coaching certification.
  • Basic Life Support Program (First Aid, CPR and AED).

Athletic Coaching Certificates:
1. 3-Year Temporary Certificate (Issued ONLY to give a coach the opportunity to complete the requirements for the 5-Year Certificate. It is NOT renewable.) 2. 5-Year Athletic Coaching Certificate

  • Coaches who are paid a supplement from the school District but DO NOT hold a Temporary or Professional Educator Certificate.
