Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Sailing Camp Director to lead our vibrant summer sailing program. As the Sailing Camp Director, you will oversee daily camp operations, ensure safety protocols are strictly followed, and create a fun, inclusive environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and supervise all aspects of the sailing camp program, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children of various ages and skill levels Lead daily sailing activities, providing instruction on basic sailing techniques, water safety, and environmental awareness Manage camp staff and volunteers by assigning roles, providing training on safety procedures, child supervision, and activity facilitation Enforce all safety protocols including first aid procedures, CPR certification standards, and emergency response plans Foster positive behavior management strategies to promote respectful interactions among campers and staff Maintain detailed records of attendance, incident reports, safety checks, and equipment inventory Skills As a previous graduate of a US Sailing camp or a US Sailing Level 1 Instructor Certification course, will have hands on experience in sailing camp operations. Proven leadership ability in team management and youth supervision within camp or educational settings Knowledge of effective child behavior management techniques Certifications in first aid, CPR, and familiarity with first aid protocols are essential Excellent communication skills to engage children effectively while maintaining discipline and safety standards Background in teaching or facilitating youth programs such as summer camps, youth groups, or recreational activities Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate sailing skills development alongside fun activities Join us as a Sailing Camp Director where your passion for sailing meets your commitment to nurturing young minds!
