FT & PT Lifeguard and Swim Instructor II (year-round) Salary $24.22 Hourly Location Swim Center Job Type Part-time Job Number 00922 Department Parks, Recreation, Forestry Division Aquatics Opening Date 08/14/2026 Closing Date 9/13/2026 11:59 PM Mountain FLSA Non-Exempt Bargaining Unit NR Description Benefits Questions Position Summary The City of Bozeman Swim Department is now accepting applications for full-time and part-time Lifeguard & Swim Instructors who are confident, detail oriented, quick thinkers, and team oriented to perform critical lifeguarding duties. They will provide direction to the Lifeguard Instructor I and II's, ensure patron safety at the indoor and outdoor aquatic facilities, provide important aquatics program instruction, and assist in the maintenance, upkeep, and custodial duties of the pool facilities, test chemicals and respond to protocol to help maintain water balance, and manages the facilities in the absence of upper management. 15 hours per week schedule preferred, but alternative schedules will be considered over 8 hours per week. Current operations are Monday- Friday from 5am
- 9:00pm with plans to expand to weekends which may include Saturday and/or Sunday shifts of 7:30am
- 4:30pm.
