20 Variable hours/week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays; total hours limited to 1,000 per calendar year.
Other:
Must be able to lift 75 pounds. Applicants are requested to upload copies of the required certifications to application. Must pass a 500- yard pool swim in under 10 minutes and a CPR skills test at time of interview. Hearing Loss Test required for selected candidate.earing Lossjdkdk
THESE ARE AT-WILL POSITIONS.
Use the Job ID based on the Position Location as follows Location Job ID North County Aquatic Complex, 861 Toney Penna Drive, Jupiter 35965 Performs skilled water safety work in preventing accidents and injuries at a County swimming pool. Safeguards patrons and enforces safety rules; instructs swim lessons for all ages; rescues bathers in distress; performs emergency water rescue techniques; administers First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), or Automated External Defibrillator (AED) when necessary. Provides positive and professional assistance to patrons; assists with routine facility maintenance.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires qualified applicants to possess the following: Must be at least 16 years of age at time of hire.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Qualified applicants for this position must possess the following valid certificates at time of application: American Red Cross (ARC) Lifeguarding/recognized equivalent certification ARC or American Heart Association CPR/AED Certification American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification/recognized equivalent certification AND ARC Standard First Aid OR First Responder OR FL Emergency Medical Technician (EMT/Paramedic Certification)https://pbcsecure.pbcgov.org/hris2/recruitment/jobannouncement#tabView
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include (must specify on application) : Valid ARC Water Safety Instructor (WSI) Certification, Valid ARC Lifeguard Instructor Certification, and Valid ARC Cross-Oxygen and AED Instructor Certification.
