Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Lifeguard to ensure the safety of all guests at the JEA. The ideal candidate will possess strong swimming skills and a commitment to providing excellent guest services while maintaining a safe and clean environment. As a Lifeguard, you will play a crucial role in preventing accidents and responding effectively in emergency situations. Duties Monitor pool activities to ensure the safety of all patrons. Enforce pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe environment. Perform rescues and administer first aid and CPR as needed. Conduct regular inspections of the pool area, including water quality checks and cleanliness. Assist with pool maintenance tasks, including cleaning and equipment checks. Provide excellent guest services by answering questions and addressing concerns. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay current with lifeguarding techniques and safety protocols. Qualifications Current Lifeguard certification is required. Proficiency in swimming with strong swimming skills. Certification in First Aid and CPR is essential. Experience in pool maintenance or cleaning is preferred but not mandatory. Strong communication skills with the ability to provide exceptional guest services. Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for equipment or maintenance tasks. Must be able to remain alert and focused during shifts, demonstrating good judgment in emergency situations.
