Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Water Safety Coach to inspire confidence and promote safety in aquatic environments. As a vital member of our aquatic programs, you will lead engaging swimming and water safety lessons, ensuring participants develop essential skills while having fun. Your role will involve coaching individuals of all ages and skill levels, fostering a positive atmosphere that encourages growth, discipline, and enjoyment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on community health and safety through active engagement and expert guidance. Duties Lead swimming lessons and water safety classes for diverse age groups, from children to adults Demonstrate proper techniques for swimming, rescue procedures, and water safety awareness Develop tailored coaching plans that meet individual needs and skill levels Monitor participants' progress, providing constructive feedback and encouragement Enforce safety rules consistently to prevent accidents and respond swiftly to emergencies Conduct behavior management to maintain a respectful, focused environment during sessions Collaborate with other instructors and staff to organize aquatic activities and events Experience Prior lifeguard experience with certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid Background in sports coaching or teaching physical education, especially in swimming or martial arts such as Karate, Judo, or Climbing Experience working with children or students in educational or childcare settings Knowledge of behavior management techniques to foster positive learning environments Skills in teaching various sports like basketball, cheerleading, or gymnastics are advantageous Familiarity with health clubs or gym environments is a plus Passion for promoting water safety, fitness, and active lifestyles through engaging instruction
