POSITION SUMMARY
As a Lifeguard, you will have the opportunity to provide everyone with a safe place to swim, learn, grow and play. You will maintain a safe swimming environment in the pool, on the pool deck and the surrounding areas. You will be able to relate to people in a positive manner to build relationships with all who enter the pool.LIFEGUARD CERTIFICATION
If NOT certified, we will assist by providing the class to obtain certification, as it is a requirement of the position.JOB LOCATION

Variety of shifts are availablePAY RATE
$16.00+ / hour- based on experience and skill

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Rescue Ready at all times- maintain constant surveillance of the water and pool deck areas.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Ability to read, write, and perform simple mathematical functions Must be at least 16 years of age Perform basic computer skills such as using the computerized time clock and online training requirements. Current Red Cross Lifeguard Certification OR equivalent- prior to starting. Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Training
- prior to starting if hired and maintained annually.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Visual, auditory, and verbal ability to communicate with people and monitor property and activity Ability to complete the lifeguard skills prerequisite, such as swimming distances, treading water, retrieving water from a depth of at least 7 feet. Ability to remain alert at all time Ability to perform strenuous physical activity Ability to adapt to changing working conditionsWORK ENVIRONMENT
