Job Description
Our Tomlinson South Meridian is seeking Head Lifeguards to join the team. This role provides leadership and influence within the program area they are working, while creating a safe, friendly and nurturing atmosphere.
Designated First Responder.
Engage members and participants in effective, age-appropriate communication.
The head guard will actively engage with and encourage members during swim tests and lessons.
Develop intentional relationships and engage members.
Provide appropriate feedback to participants and members as needed.
Function as a point person for others in the same job position.
Must be able to differentiate between colors (red, yellow, blue and green).Ability to pass all standard safety drills with an 80% passing average.
Ability to swim 500 yards in 12 minutes or less. 400 yards is crawl and 100 must be breaststroke.
Lifeguard Instructor Certification preferred.
Must be able to engage others in conversations and make all people feel welcome.
Ability to respond calmly and quickly to safety and emergency situations.
Must have good interpersonal and communications skills and be sensitive, adaptable, professional, and articulate when dealing with others.
Schedule:
Both Full and Part-Time positions available.Primary shifts to fill are:
9:00am to NoonNoon-4:00pm4:00pm- 9:00pm We are open Sunday through Saturday.
Starting Pay:
$14.95- 18.
