Job Description

Midtown is looking for a year-round Lifeguard to watch over our pools and ensure the safety of our aquatics areas. The Position As an integral part of the Aquatics team, our Lifeguards inspire members through movement, community, and personal attention. They encourage active, social, and healthier lives by: Explaining and enforcing rules, regulations, and policies to ensure the safety of patrons Maintaining order in swimming areas Responding quickly and appropriately to aquatic emergencies and providing assistance when needed Maintaining the cleanliness of aquatics areas to promote an enjoyable member experience Enforcing pool rules to ensure a safe and clean environment Providing lifeguard coverage during weekday and weekend swim lessons, as well as weekend open swim Scheduling & Availability We are currently seeking Lifeguards who can commit to a minimum of two shifts per week .
Our primary staffing needs are:
Weekdays:
3:45 PM-7:00 PM —
Swim Lesson Coverage Weekends:
9:00 AM-1:00 PM —
Swim Lessons Weekends:
1:00 PM-5:00 PM — Open Swim Candidates should have consistent availability within these timeframes and be able to maintain a minimum two-shift-per-week commitment. Lifeguard Requirements Customer-service oriented, with strong interpersonal skills Strong swimmer trained and certified in water rescue Possess nationally recognized aquatics certifications, including Lifeguarding, Professional CPR/AED, and First Aid American Red Cross certification preferred Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with members, guests, and team members in a busy aquatics environment.
