POSITION OVERVIEW
Responsible for teaching group and private swimming lessons.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position reports to the Head Guards and Aquatic Supervisor. Responsible for the safety of all patrons both on deck and in the water. Responsible for teaching swim lessons, group and private. Required to attend all necessary trainings. Responsible for the cleanliness and facility decorum. Maintain a positive public image and attitude with good public relations. Wear appropriate staff uniform at all times. Attend all staff meetings. Abide by all City of Elgin rules and regulations as outlined in the Employee Manual. Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Minimum 15 years of age Must have prior swimming experience Ability to work pleasantly with patrons and co-workers Ability to enforce all rules and policies in a diplomatic manner Be able to handle multiple duties/tasks Must pass drug and background checks Must receive CPR/AED/First Aid certification
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Group Lessons take place during weekday evenings, 6-7:30pm, and weekends, 8:30-11:30am. Private lessons are scheduled based on customer and employee availability.
