Assistant Director, Aquatics Tulane University - 4.0 New Orleans, LA Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Lifeguard Training Bachelor's degree American Red Cross CPR Certification Lifeguard Certification AED Certification Full Job Description The Assistant Director for Aquatics is responsible for the successful development of aquatic programs and management of aquatic facilities which include an indoor Olympic size pool and an outdoor pool and sun deck. This position hires, trains, schedules, supervises, and evaluates all aquatic staff and develops, implements, and promotes aquatic programs to include Learn to Swim Lessons, American Red Cross certification courses and Scuba Diving certification course. The Assistant Director has primary responsibility for establishing risk management procedures relevant to this functional area and conducting staff training regularly to review procedures. Additional responsibilities include payroll processing, scheduling all activities and special events in the pool, and staff development. In addition to program duties, this position is a vital member of a Campus Recreation team of professional staff and will assist in developing and facilitating the growth of recreational programs for the university community, promoting departmental programs, assisting with departmental special events and serving on university committees.
Minimum Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of relevant experience American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and WSI Certifications OR High School Diploma (or Equivalent) with 8 years of relevant experience
American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and WSI Certifications Preferred Qualification:
