Job Description
Compensation:
$20.00 per hour Responsible for supervising the beach and pool areas, including but not limited to overseeing membership activities, pool and beach facilities, servicing the guests' needs and overseeing the cleanliness of beach, pools, and health clubs in accordance with established guest service and sustainability standards. Potential Career Path Beach and Pool Manager/Recreation Manager Essential Job Functions Interview, select, train, schedule, coach, and support associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with HHM core values. Ensure security of beach, pool and health club access, as well as guest and hotel property. Handle disciplinary problems and counsel associates according to hotel standards. Be conscious of guests' whereabouts and activities at all times, especially children. Instruct and enforce hotel policies regarding towels, chairs, umbrellas, and pool usage. Ensure timely set-up of beach, pools, spas, and health clubs for guest use. Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of all beach, pool, and recreational programs. Provide well-rounded, safe programs for guests and members. Provide basic first aid to any guest when needed. Request additional help if needed. Ensure high quality of cleanliness and maintenance for all physical facilities and equipment. Resolve guest complaints assuring satisfactory resolution and appropriate corrective action steps. Assists in maintenance and routine pump room duties. Monitors and maintains pool filtration system including backwash, handling and installation of chemicals as necessary. Handle pool chemicals and reagents in accordance with OSHA regulations and hotel requirements. Partake in water safety training session. Properly handle and report any employee or guest accidents and incidents. Ensure all outdoor and rescue equipment are up to hotel standards. Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM's EarthView program. Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards. Perform other duties as requested by management. Position Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Previous related experience needed. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Work Environment and Context Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends.
