DEGREE/CERTIFICATION:
. •A current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification (including deep water) with CPR/AED certification is mandatory.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Lifeguard, you are the frontline protector of our aquatic facility. Your mission is to keep swimmers safe by proactively monitoring the water, enforcing facility rules, and maintaining a hazard-free environment. In critical moments, you will rely on your elite training to spring into action with water rescues, CPR, and first aid.
MAJOR DUTIES MAY INCLUDE
Supervise all swimming activities to guarantee a safe environment, spot hazards early, and preemptively resolve safety risks. Maintain vigilant oversight of the pool area to spot swimmers in distress, swiftly perform water rescues, and enact the facility's Emergency Action Plan (EAP). Ensure compliance with facility rules and regulations using clear, professional enforcement to guarantee a secure environment. Execute emergency medical response protocols, including first aid, CPR, and AED operation. Execute daily safety and operational checks on all rescue equipment to maintain peak readiness. Promptly report maintenance issues and facility repair needs to the Director of Maintenance.
