POSITION:
CERTIFIED LIFEGUARD

  • Part Time ​ At Paine Aquatic Center / Manistee Area Public Schools ​ ​ ​
JOB REQUIREMENTS
​ Available for early morning and daytime shifts on a part time basis to start.
Hours of operation:
Monday through Friday between 6:00am
  • 7:00pm Saturday from 9:00am-4:00pm Sunday from 12:00pm-4:00pm
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all pool patrons
  • Monitor swimmers and enforce pool rules and regulations
  • Respond quickly and effectively to any emergencies or incidents
  • Perform water rescues and administer first aid when necessary
  • Conduct regular pool inspections to identify any hazards of maintenance needs
  • Maintain a clean and organized pool area
  • Provide excellent customer service to all pool patrons
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be a certified lifeguard with current CPR and First Aid ​ ​ certifications
  • Training provided
  • Strong swimming skills and ability to perform water rescues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
  • Previous experience as a lifeguard is preferred, but not required
