$12.00-13.00/hour Description of the
Position:
(Purpose of the Position): This is a position for lifeguarding students during athletic workouts, including swim practice and dive practice.
Transferable Skills:
Certification through the American Red Cross as a Lifeguard, including lifeguarding skills, CPR, AED and first aid training. Vigilance, punctuality, attention to detail.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Open and close the pool and locker rooms. Sit on the pool deck while monitoring swimmers during the entire swim session time. Vigilant observation of swimmers and divers as they work out in and around the water.
Qualifications:
(Education/Experience/Skills) Must be an ARC certified lifeguard.
Physical and Environmental Factors:
This position requires crouching, kneeling/crawling, stooping, twisting/pivoting, climbing/balancing, reaching overhead, grasping/handling, pushing/pulling, and lifting and carrying objects up to 50 lbs. to perform the essential functions. It also requires exposure to loud noise, respiratory factors, chemicals, and wet or humid conditions indoors to perform the essential functions.
