Get Directions Summary We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant individual to join our team as a Lifeguard at Park Rapids High School for the upcoming summer season. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety of all patrons in and around the swimming facility, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. This seasonal position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic team setting while promoting water safety and enjoyment. Responsibilities

• Monitor the swimming area to ensure the safety of all patrons, enforcing pool rules and regulations.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, providing first aid and CPR as necessary.
• Conduct regular safety checks and maintain a clean and organized pool area.
• Assist in the instruction of swimming lessons and water safety programs.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and pool conditions.
• Communicate effectively with patrons, addressing concerns and providing information.
• Participate in regular training sessions and team meetings to stay updated on safety protocols.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a positive experience for all visitors. Requirements
• Must be at least 16 years old and possess a valid lifeguard certification from a recognized organization (e.g., Red Cross, YMCA).
• Current CPR and First Aid certification is required.
• Strong swimming skills and the ability to perform rescues in various water conditions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• A strong sense of responsibility and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Previous lifeguarding experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Must pass a background check prior to employment.
