EOE Employment at LSPR guarantees the opportunity to learn communication and organizational skills, professionalism, and civic responsibility while building outstanding personal and work relationships. $15.15/hourly Responsible for maintaining a constant vigilance of swimmers, performing actions to save lives, prevent accidents and incidents, initiating and promoting good water safety habits, and assisting in the operation and maintenance of the assigned aquatics facility. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Perform the functions of a lifeguard according to established procedures and practices and in accordance with formal training and certification. Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of an emergency. Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services. Enforces facility rules and regulations; takes appropriate action in the event of patron incidents. Monitor weather conditions and water conditions for signs of danger or hazard; take appropriate steps to preserve safety and well being of patrons and others in area of responsibility. Prepares and maintains appropriate reports. Assist in the planning, preparation, implementation and evaluation of aquatics activities. Assist in maintenance of aquatics facility. Maintains safety by following LSPR guidelines, policies and procedures. Attends regularly scheduled staff meetings and mandatory in-service training sessions as scheduled. Ensures enforcement of rules and regulations of LSPR. Performs all other related duties as assigned.
